Going to a conservation park is always a hit for fun, adventure and education outside of a classroom. There are a few things that you and your family can enjoy here including morning or sunset drives, guided walks, restaurants, picnics, shops, swimming and there is also a predator centre at Nossob. There is accommodation and campsites available and you can always book a tour to get the most out of your visit.
Kalahari Mall
If the heat is getting to you, pop in at the Kalahari Mall. They have a wide variety of shops and restaurants to grab a meal at. They offer free parking as well so you can spend the whole day there if you want to!

Augrabies Falls National Park
Go grab a meal at their restaurant complex and then head out to an incredible view of the waterfall in walking distance of the restaurant complex. You can then enjoy a game drive with your own vehicle if you want to. They also offer hiking trails, cycling trails, picnic sites and night drives. You can also braai there or go for a swim at one of their pools and there are also shops that you can visit.

Kalahari Oranje Museum
This is a free trip that the family can enjoy whilst learning about the history of Upington as well as the surrounding areas. You also learn about the geological properties and the equipment that was used in the past. It is also close to a lovely steakhouse where you can enjoy a great meal after your visit.
